Class 8 (Sunday 12/4 and Wednesday 12/7) - Christmas Celebration/CY2 Catch up day
*Sunday 5:15 PM class will meet outside at the stone circle for the Advent Wreath Lighting Ceremony, then will go to the HFC for attendance to be taken. Then enjoy Advent Bingo and trets or catch up on work.

Objective - Make sure students are up to date on all their requirements for CY2/Bible Distribution/Christmas Celebration

• Almighty Father, we thank you and praise you for bringing us to the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that you will work in our lives to help us follow you and become closer to you. 

  •Bring us closer to your grace and grant us strength in our faith. May we learn to walk in your spirit and trust in your word. May we all know that your grace is enough to satisfy our needs.  

  •Keep us from being tempted and influence by the evil things of the world. Protect us from sin and from the wiles of the evil one. Through each day, help us walk in your path and find wisdom to answer every struggle in our life. Keep us humble in spirit as we look for your guidance in all things. Amen.

Class 9 (Sunday 1/8 and Wednesday 1/11) The Holy Spirit

• Students will pair off into groups depending on what colored paper they get. Withing those groups they will answer the questions according to their colors found on the powerpoint.

You are the source of love and grace in the world.  We pray that you will help us to grow in your goodness so that we may be the light that shines in the darkness. Hlp us to dwell in your truth and never be shaken by doubt. Help us to see your vision for our lives and to follow you in all ways. We ask that you give us the energy to care for the doubtful and the lost. Help us to use our creativity to comfor the brokenhearted and downtrodden. Through your almighty power, help us to bring peace and joy to everyone. Amen

That I  might clearly see, help me stand for what is right. Bring out the best in me. Help, Lord, to just say "no" when temptation comes my way. That I might keep my body clean and fit for each day. Amen.

Objective- Understanding Sainthood, work on outfits for Saint Museum, Give Session facilitator groups dates and assignments

Ice Breaker (5 minutes) - : Saint Bingo
Participants will take their sheet and try to find people in the class whose chosen Saints are on their sheet. They will write down the name of the person who has chosen that Saint and 1 Saint fact that they learned about that Saint. First person to get a" black out" or person who finds the most saints in five minutes wins.
Opening Prayer(5 minutes):  
Dear God, we thank you for allowing us to gather here today and we thank you for the example of the Saints. We desire to join in their company, worshiping you forever in Heaven. Please help us follow their footsteps, and yours, Jesus Christ. Please help us to conform ouselves to Your image, seeking Your will in all things, as the Saints did. Please help us to devote ourselves, and all that we do, to Your glory, and to the service of our parish family. Amen.

1. What do you admire most about your Saint? What do you admire most about yourself?
2. If you were the person trying to convince the Pope that your chosen Saint should be recognized as venerable  what would you say about him or her? (e.g...they lived a virtuous life because..., they were martyred...etc...)/ If someone was trying to convince the Pope that you should be recognized as venerable after your death, what would you want them to say about you?
3. Can you name a miracle that is attributed to your Saint? If not make a note to find one before the next session.
4. Do you remember when your Saint was Canonized(Your Saint's Feast Day)? If not find out before the next session.
5. Did you celebrate your chosen Saint's Feast Day this past year? What can you do honor your chosen Saint's feast day this year?
6. Take a few minutes to offer up a prayer of Thanksgiving to God for the life of your Saint and ask him to help you answer your own call to holiness.

2. Ask yourself what elements or symbols help distinguish my Saint from other Saints?
3. Look through materials and put together the outfit you will wear for your Saint Costume.

Help us to remember that they left their mark on the earth for you, for us, and for our children to come. We thank you, God, for the tremendous sacrifices made by those who have gone before us. • Head (15 Minutes)- Communion of Saints Video 1 (click here) Look at section 146  in the youcat and read about the communion of Saints. As a group Use what you learned in the video and the YouCat to explain the communion of Saints in your own words.

  Heart- Listen to this song (click here) and picture it being sung by your Confirmation Saint after listening to the song answer the following questions:
• Do you think your Confirmation Saint made a conscious choice to strive to become a canonized Saint? Why or Why not?
• Name one thing you can do to actively participate in the communion of Saints
• Hands- Help one another draft your Saint monologue. Include the following:
• Information about your early life (nationality, birthdate, etc..)
• Who or What influenced your faith life
• Contribution to the church
• What they are the Patron Saints of 
• Feast Day
• Direct inspirational quote
