Council of Catholic Women

We invite all women of Our Lady of the Lake to join the Council of Catholic Women (CCW)

All women of the parish are invited to the Council of Catholic Women (CCW) meeting at 5:00 p.m.   in the Holy Family Center on Thursday, Jan. 23rd. We will be assembling baby caps for Parkland Hospital and collecting items for a “baby shower” for St. Joseph's Helpers/White Rose Women's Center of Dallas. We collect diapers and baby items for the moms and babies the Center serves.  

 

We start with light refreshments before the business meeting begins.  We hope you will join us!  Newcomers are welcome each month!

 Our newly elected officers for this year are:

 The Council of Catholic Women provides service to the parish and to the community,  We facilitate personal and social enrichment, as well as promote the spiritual growth of the membership with an awareness of Christ as the center of life.  

The women of CCW love to be share our gifts and talents!  Here is a sampling of the ways we love and serve our parish and beyond:

      * Provide funeral luncheons
     * Lead Friday morning rosary and make rosaries for those receiving Easter Sacraments
     * Handcraft prayer quilts
     * Send sunshine cards and greetings
    *  Provide Seminarian support
    * Award annual scholarship(s) to graduating high school seniors
    * Collect toys at Christmas for children served by County Child Protective Services 
    * Collect baby items and donations for St. Joseph’s Helpers and their White Rose Women’s shelters
    * Donate to the building fund of Our Lady of the Lake for the future  faith formation building through our Christmas bake sale and Spring Luncheon silent auction fundraisers.
    * Host an annual Lenten Retreat for the Parish
    * Host a Christmas social gathering for the CCW members   

The Council of Catholic Women at Our Lady of the Lake is a part of the Dallas Deanery Council of Catholic Women who share their ministries with us.  Come and share your faith, friendship and spiritualty with us.
