Psalm 30:” Fill us with your love, O Lord, and we will sing for joy!
Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain wisdom of heart.
Fill us at daybreak with your kindness that we may shout for joy and gladness all our days.”
Lectio Divina, literally Divine Reading, is a way of reading with the heart. It is a contemplative way of reflecting on the Scriptures or other Spiritual classics. Reflection does not allow us to hurry through a text if you are reading with the heart. The practice of Lectio guides us to the inner work of transformation.
It draws us into a loving romance with the One who rules the world from the throne of our hearts. It encourages in us a joyful expectation, a deep listening, a tender abiding, a patient waiting, of the healing touch of the Beloved.
“O God, who cause the minds of the faithful to unite in a single purpose, grant your people to love what you command and desire what you promise.”
This is our yearning, to find each other, link hands and share the dance of love.
In our group prayer,
We sit with a sacred text, and read and suddenly by grace, we have a moment of illumination. We close our time together with Contemplative faith sharing.
This is an invitation to come and experience this contemplative practice which is enjoying a revival among lay people.
