All youth (grades 7-12) preparing for a sacrament need to complete a
two consecutive year process to learn more about their faith and the sacrament(s) they desire.
Youth that need
Confirmation
Our Lady of the Lake requires youth to attend a minimum number of normal faith formation classes over two consecutive years. Every class is important to the learning and growing of our hearts and minds.

2nd Year Confirmation Students
ONLY
There are 2 workshops that youth and parent need to attend for Confirmation. See the Youth Ministry calendar for required dates.
In January of the class year, youth are required to attend the Confirmation Retreat. This retreat is typically held over MLK Weekend.

Youth that need 1st Reconciliation, 1st Communion, Confirmation
Before attending the sacrament workshops, OLOL requires youth to attend a minimum number of normal faith formation classes over two consecutive years. Please review the OLOL Youth Ministry Sacrament Preparation attendance policy.
for youth that have already been Baptized.
at the end of their first year of preparation, the youth and parent attend 3 workshops to prepare for 1st Reconciliation.
during their second year of preparation youth and parent will attend 3 workshops in the fall for 1st Communion
Youth and parent will complete all the necessary steps as outlined above for Confirmation.
YOUTH THAN NEED: Baptism, 1st Communion and Confirmation

Youth and parent attend the necessary workshops as stated above for 1st Communion and Confirmation. Plus they attend 1 workshop (to be scheduled with the youth office) for Baptism.
Youth will receive all their sacraments at the Easter Vigil in the second year of their sacrament process.
