A little information about our group... The members of this ministry create and give lap-sized quilts to parishioners or family members who are ill or experiencing difficulties and in need of prayer.
Each quilt is constructed by machine and hand-tied with knots. Each knot represents the prayers of our church community and conveys our wishes for comfort.
All sewers and non-sewers are welcome.
We usually meet on the 3 rd Wednesday of each month. We meet from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM in room #1, downstairs near the kitchen. Come for an hour or two, or stay the entire time—whatever fits your schedule. We will break for lunch around noon. All are welcome to bring their lunch, get a to-go order from a place of their choice or go eat and come back.
We will hand-tie, sort and cut fabric, machine-sew the quilts, get creative and enjoy fellowship. We have the supplies. You are welcome to bring a machine but this is absolutely not necessary.
