The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is committed to following Christ’s call to serve the poor, the suffering and the deprived, together with our brothers and sisters here at Our Lady of the Lake.
Your generous support has not only helped clothe the naked and feed the hungry, but also has helped prevent evictions and keep the electric and water utilities turned-on.
Over the past 6 months, together we have assisted over 300 families with dire needs.
There are still many vulnerable and suffering neighbors in our community.
On June 11/12, 2022, the 2nd collection for St. Vincent de Paul will continue in this Mission of Charity.
We appreciate your continued generosity.
"Love thy neighbor"
In the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, and its patron, St. Vincent de Paul, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul leads women and men, as inspired by the Gospel, to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering.
The Society’s purpose is to “Love thy neighbor,” which is at the heart of everything we do. Our volunteers personally assist those in need in Rockwall County by visiting them and providing them caring, compassion, and hope. Through the generous donations of our parishioners, we are able to provide emergency financial assistance to those in crisis.
If you are unable to join our organizatoin but would like to contribute, please send your donation to Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 1305 Damascus Road, Rockwall, TX 75087. Ninety percent of all donations go directly to helping families right here in Rockwall County.
If you are in need of assistance or would like further information, please email us at SVdP@ourladyrockwall.org or
call our help line at 972-772-8875 and leave a message.
Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?’… And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’
—Matthew 25: 37-40
